I have a 8 bulb ati 60in. I'm trying to figure out what is the best way to hang the light. A lot of ppl say screw it into a stud and a lot of ppl r saying they use toggle bolts. I've used toggle bolts with ai led light.

I personally would try to hit a stud (help me sleep at night)but the chances of a stud being right where you need it slim to none. Now when you say stud are you talking wall stud or hanging from ceiling?
What are you using to mount/hang up the light?
Is the spot on the light where you are hanging it from adjustable?

I just use toggle bolts to hang mine.
If you want get a nice piece of wood and put hanging cables in that and screw the board into rafters.

Would the toggle bolts hold that heavy light

I assume you are trying to hang from a drywall ceiling? Any idea how thick? A good large toggle might hold the weight fine if you have 5/8 drywall.
I think if it were me I would either crawl into the attic and add some support where needed, or fashion something that securely hits the rafters, then attach the light as needed. Would let me sleep better at night anyway.

I have toggle bolts hanging my Giesemann spectra. I think it's heavier than a sunpower fixture.

I know the spectra is heavier than the 48 inch 8 bulb sunpower.

Like I said a nice oak board for Menard's or a nice painted board screwed into a couple rafters and haging kit mounted to boards would give you peace of mind.

For the last year my halide t5 has hung over my tank wit no problem. And for 3 years my t5 hung over same tank no problems.

It's just so hot in the attic lol.

But just think a little sweat in the attic now would be a hell of a lot better then sweating the whole time worrying about your light falling

I would just find the rafters and run some 3 inch screws through the board and into rafters and never even look in the attic.

Looks good. Any idea how much the fixture weighs?

My old 48 inch 8 bulb sunpower was 30lbs. According to the packing label. I would guess it close to 35 pounds for 60 inch.

    My halide light is 40lbs.

From one of my wholesaler they list it at 71lb but that's bc it's so long
