group buy

We talked about a group buy at the tank tour. Any one have any suggestions. I could use some clean up criters and maybe a pair of clowns.

 

Yea I was thinking about sending a message to someone who knows how to set up polls(CyberJester) and have everyone list their favorite sites and make a poll. We could vote on what site to use and everyone could put together what they want on the order. We could even do a couple different orders for sites that specialize. Here's my favorite sites:

I'm probably the only person who doesn't like ordering from liveaquaria. They have good healthy stuff, but it just seems like they never have enough of the stuff I want in stock to make a whole order. I've made 2 orders with them and both orders were screwed up(things missing, things dead, things suddenly out of stock after I've ordered) and I still wanted to order a few more things but chose to order from them anyways. They have good prices on fish/inverts, but I think their corals are way too high even for online sources. But I'd always be up for an order from them.

Take some time to look through these and add a site you want listed and we could have a poll to see what site to order from.

I was thinking we could do at least one order from mostly a coral site, one order from a fish, invert, and coral site, and one order from reef nutrition. I know everyone could use some stuff from Reef Nutrition.

they have cheap coral, but the delivery is 8.99 for dry and 13.00 for overnight or so I have a few promo codes that'd get it cheaper, Really nice things and nice prices. Acro starts at 9, and monti's at 13. The coral is on sale now for 9, and porites are 13.

 

I would like blue zoo or reef kingdom.

That being said I am sure I will order some stuff no matter where we go.

I wouldnt mind a Live Aquaria Divers den, but then we only have 48 hours to do it all at once.

 

You can have it delivered to my shop if you want. I can sort it out, keep it warm, & have it ready for people to pick up.

My votes go for either reef hotspot, pacificeast aquaculture, blue zoo, or reef king dom, along with a seperate order from reef nutrition.

When will everyone want to make this order? Would we be able to wait till at least May 1st(tax refund day) before we do?

 

Bluezooaquatics.com is fantastic! We're putting our third group buy in the omaha area in the last three months together for may!!

 

there is only a couple things that I would need.

I am not going to get involved in the find a place and taking the order, because of everything that I have going on in the next couple weeks. I will probly order if i will be home to get the order but if not its ok. So dont plan anything around me.

 

Actually we should narrow them down to 2 or 3, and then see if they will give us a group discount.

I vote reef kingdom and reef hotspot, my number one choice would be reef hotspot.

I no longer need to order from reef nutrition, I've got someone getting me the two bottles I need.

Everyone just decide what three they want and we'll look at it from there...

I would think we could hit the $500 mark.
I would have to set it up with them as they have a special ordering system for group orders.
If this is ok with everyone I will get it set up & we can start ordering next week sometime.

So we decided Blue Zoo? I didn't know we discussed it. Did we check if any of the other top choices offered group discounts?

 

Only 3 of us responded, & all 3 had blue zoo as a choice. I asked & only KC responded. I didnt set it up, just got the info. Then I asked if it is ok with everyone.

If someone has other ideas, check them out & we can go from there.

 

Yea I'm not saying blue zoo is a bad choice, it's just it seemed like it was decided blue zoo all within a matter of 6 hours. Maybe if we gave a little more time to decide for sure, maybe give some people a chance to speak up that hasn't yet.

I am going to call reef hotspot to see what group buy discounts they offer.

AGAIN- I'm not trying to complain, I really do appreciate it Craig that you called them and got some info from Blue Zoo. I would just like it if we heard from at least one other place first. Blue zoo is a great place to order, so I would definitely order with the group if we do in fact use them.
