Does any one know if a yellow watchmen goby paired with a pistol shrimp be civil with a orange spotted goby in a 30 gallon cube?

I'm thinking he misread the post. Most compatibility charts show caution with mixing gobies. In a small tank, with limited sand bed real estate the risk is greater.

Compatibility: The yellow watchman goby is not overly aggressive toward tankmates. That said, larger yellow watchman goby (and other larger members of the genus Cryptocentrus) tend to be more aggressive toward other shrimpgobies than some of the other crustacean-associated gobies (e.g., Amblyeleotris spp., Ctenogobiops spp., Stonogobiops spp.) if bottom space is limited.

Sounds like the yellow watchmen is the more territorial fish. So if the orange spotted is already established you may be alright. Its a risk, but you never really know what's going to happen until you try.

I do have a deep sandbed and a ton of hiding spots in the tank. I suppose if they dont work out i shouldnt have any trouble giving the orange spotted away on here /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif
