Got a nice RBTA at fall fest, placed itself right in front of the tank in a great spot everything was great! Then he started moving...allllll ovvveerrr theee tankkkkk. His most recent spot, in the very back where I could only see a couple inches of him through a cave. Worst part. I came home today to see my Black Clowns starting to host it. NOO! Being the genius I am (not) I turned the rock around facing the front so that I can actually enjoy watching them. Would of been a 5 minute job but everything caved in so i had to almost completely reaquascape it taking closer to an hour. Sure enough, its 3 hours later, and hes on the move again, and the clowns are acting like they've never seen him before. Ugh!! Should I really just let him go and do his own thing? Even if he moves to the back where I cant see him?

They like a place where their foot feels safe. If you can get him to a place up front with a hole to shove his foot in, you might be able to get him up front. I got lucky with my carpet anemone that it found a rock it liked, then I moved that rock to the side where my computer desk sits. Now I can watch my clowns swimming in it all day long! Good luck, be patient!

Direct a powerhead at the back of the tank for a while (right where it is currently sitting). Hopefully that will get it to move and find a spot it likes. Once it stays in one spot for a while, place the powerheads back to normal and cross your fingers he doesn;t get to moving again /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif

Join the $@*#!ing BTA club. I have 4 of them (began as one) and I can't get any one of them removed! If I ever get them out....never again!

I moved him to the front last night, he moved underneath the rock, and tonight i just turned it so he was facing up again instead of down. He hasnt moved yet, and the clowns are paying more attention to him. They arent swimming in him full time yet, just for a little bit every 10 minutes or so, but he seems to be happy at the moment. Fingers crossed!! Thanks for the suggestions about the powerhead, if he moves again ill probably do that!
