Hey guys, I'm consolidating some stuff into my 120. I want to sell my frag farm "sled" if you will. This is a good system that has produced several thousand dollars for me over the last couple years.

    What's included?

    a 30 gallon frag tank (48x24x6&quot/Portals/0/2013-04-30%2000_39_25.jpg

Hey John! The tapatalk mobile app doesn't work for my messages, sorry. Ill just write back to ya here. No I'm not getting out entirely, just downsizing a bit. I figure I can still make nearly 1k at each fest with fresh cuts. I had this system normally turning out around 1k per month, but you really gotta stay up on the hustle to make it pay! If I do go back to farming in the future I will find myself a commercial wholesaler and set up bigger mono culture tanks with the easy, fast growing, high demand stuff. But for the time being a mag rack will probably suit my needs. I'm too damn busy for much more!
Still available people! Somebody's gotta want this! You won't find a better deal!

Btw there's about $1500 invested here so somebody ought to jump on it before I change my mind! Lol

    So somebody asked:
"Were you really pulling in $1000/month selling frags?"

    and I replied:
    Andy The Reef Guy
"yah, but let me qualify that with details: during the months of oct, nov, dec, jan, and feb, I averaged 1k/mo. Some of those months were 1500 some of them were 700, But an easy average of 1k. During the rest of the year things slow down dramatically, this time of year for the past two I haven't sold hardly anything at all. Then towards the end of the summer I start doing about 200-300 a month until it picks up again in october."

again, a lot of it is about the hustle! Oh and Craigslist and ebay work really really well for unloading corals you can't find buyers for within the club. Plus people outside of the club will usually pay a little more for somethings, yet find no value in the really cool sps stuff (which is predominately what I have lol)

My issue is that it takes forever to sell them. Say you have six customers and you tell them to all come over on Saturday. Everybody stays at least 45 minutes and before you know it your day is wasted.

NO DOUBT! and if you're like me it takes 2x that long! (I talk a lot, you may have heard that about me lol)

This is a STUPID good deal. I can't believe it's not sold yet! So obviously the problem must be on my end. Well I took more pictures and I'll elaborate about the set up.

LED panels: each is a DIY LED set up (currently running ia my APEX so if no APEX potentiometer set up will be required)

Each panel contains 40 CREE LED's, a predominately 2:1 Blue:White mix. and a 2:1 royalblue:reg blue mix. Two RB have been replaced with CREE green LEDs, and two whites (all cool whites) have been replaced with OSRAM 660nm red LEDs.

The panels are suspended via a square tubular steel support that arches from behind the stand, making the front and sides obstruction free for working with frags.

The main frag tank is 4 feet long, and 2 feet wide. It drains into the 40 beneath, which subsequently drains into my sump shared by my 120 display tank so my frags and main tank all have the same water.

The 40 gallon beneath sits on supports that are integrated/built into the structure of the stand supporting the shallow frag tank a top, and is lit by a 6 bulb TEK light T5 fixture.

The frag tank value alone: 200 buck

The LED panels cost me: 400 each (800 total)

The 40 br drilled was 60

    Quality constructed stand priceless lol

TEK light T5 fixture 350 for the shell alone.

Right there we're talking about 1400-1500 bucks.

IF nobody swoops this up, I'll part it out. I have a buyer for the Tek light already.

Each LED fixture I would want 150 for

200 for frag tank, stand and 40

Man... I don't know how this hasn't been snatched up. If I had corals ready to frag I would be all over this!
