DIY Food - April 6th

Its been a long time since we had a DIY food event in Des Moines. Maybe 2 years. So, everyone should be good and ready to make some more!!!

So reserve the date of April 6th. We will be making DIY food at Dave Roth's house. This will likely be a morning event. Time not yet set.

I will be working out some of the details in this next week - like size of package, estimated price......

We don't have a tank tour set up this year, but this will be a great opportunity to see Dave's 2 large tanks!! They are beauties!! @Dave - maybe you could give a few details about size....

Just now saw this....yes April 6 will work but probably late morning to early afternoon would work best that day.

We have 2 tanks. An in-wall 210 SPS dominant which has been running for 5.5 years. Stocking is primarily "reef safe with caution" fish with 2 large Angel's and a moorish idol being the centerpiece fish (along with a 10" sailfin tang we've had for 10 years). Currently making some changes to this tank.

Our other tank is a 300 DD with a 180 sump that is a mixed reef. We did this tank as a reset to a 280 we had formerly set up. Tank has had some challenges the past year but getting things back on track.

Looking forward to the event! See you all there.

Spring fest is over. Time to focus on our next event - DIY food.,

Our target is 80+ 16 oz bags. Price can't be finalized til be get a count, but we are targeting $12 per bag for attendees and $17 per bag for non-attendees.

Please post here the number of bags you are wanting, and if you will be attending. I need an approximate by Friday, March 30.

Must be a dues-paying member to purchase the food.

It will be a great event and as a plus you get to see Dave's tanks!!

I'm planning on attending and helping. Just put me down for one bag. I'm really going for the social aspect(and to see Dave's tanks)
...would also love it if I could get some cheato from some one ...anybody willing to work something out there?

 

You're welcome to have some chaeto from our sump with 2 caveats:

1. It has some caulerpa in it
2. No guarantee it is aptasia free
