Advice? Cycled

Ok I have let my tank cycle for about 6-7 weeks Wanted to take my time this time. After losing everything it been a little tough to get excited. I feel like I have a much better set up now and have found some great people to help on here. I really just want to set up a very basic tank with some clown fish and hippo tang (hence I have a 5 year old and dory is the bomb) I really like the soft corals and anonemies as well so that is what I am looking to target so any help would be appreciated. Anybody have some cheaper frags and such let me know.

I just ran all my tests and they came back as follows
PH 8.0-8.2
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Salt level is 1.20-1.21
Temp is 78

 

I would say you are cycled. I would bring salinity up to 1.025-1.026 though.

 

And when adding add the most docile first and give it a few weeks ...... I would do the clowns first small ones and give it two to four weeks,

 

I run .024 on my tank, could always start with a clean up crew like I did. Then go clowns and such.

 

I have been reading on clownfish and it says you can add more then 2 as long as you do it when you introduce them at same time. What are your thoughts on this? I was thinking of doing 2 of the orange clowns and 2 black and white ones but get them all the same day. It's a 75 Gallon tank and I wont have many fish as I really want to have alot of soft corals and anemones mainly. Thanks for all of your input

@Armydog has some really awesome corals, I would highly recommend.

 

How big of a tank? I would not recommend putting different colored clowns into a small system.

 

Doesn't "dory" need a tank bigger than 75 gal?

 

its a 75 gallon tank

 

I had a hippo and yellow in a 75 for over 4 years until I had the room to upgrade to a 180. Never had any issues with either of them. And the hippo never really got any size to it until I put it in my 180. Depends on how big it is when u get it.
