Coolest school project EVER!!!

As some of you may know I am approaching the end of my schooling for Electronics Engineering.  As a final project we have been asked to design and build a project that utilizes the things we have learned throughout the program.  I knew right away what I wanted to do.  A DIY Arduino powered Reef Controller!!!  Not exactly an easy or cheap task but it easily covers many things I have learned over the last few years. 
The plan is start simple and just be able to program outlets based on a real time clock as well as float switches.  Eventually I want to incorporate things like, ph control, conductivity monitoring, webserver, and a touch screen display.
I just received the micro controller today and have been having tons of fun messing around with it.  I can't wait to put it to work!

 

Good idea.  It would be fun documenting progress here.  There is a ton of work to do but I am very excited about it.
