On Saturday I made the trip to DesMoines for a frag Tank and decided to stop by an amazing aquarium store.... They were having 25% off everything in there fish room! I was so excited. I picked up a beautiful clam and 3 adorable clown fish. The first of the three clowns committed suicide by jumping out of my tank the first night when my family and I went out to eat, the second did the same yesterday and the last one was doing great! Then I just went to feed them and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the third clown on the floor!?! I don't understand! Is my tank inhospitable to clowns? I have a cinnamon one and a black and white one... All I can do is laugh, I might as well have thrown money out of the window on the interstate[IMG] more people would have enjoyed it at least!

Did you already have clowns in your tank? Cause if you did my guess they chased the new clowns and the new ones jumped out of the tanks by accident while being chased. its happened to me before.
and you should have stopped by and seen the blue face Angel (aka blue boy) that I got from you. he is doing great

That is great! He was my favorite fish and he was so sly and sneaky, until it was food time[IMG]. Well I guess I won't be getting any more clowns for awhile

General rule of thumb is one pair of clowns per tank. Maroons are supposed to be the most aggressive. Even if you had screens on top of the tank, the established clowns would most likely have killed them in the tank. Sorry.

sucks that you lost the clowns. Hopefully its a lesson learned on impulse buys. More often than not they don't turn out to well. LOL. I've done it before too though, I think most people have.

Thanks guys[IMG] that why my name is still rookie. I guess I have to learn the hard way, and I will try to control the impulse buys as much as possible. I just couldn't resist those little nemo's, but I'm guessing they are wishing I would have.
