Alright guys, I have a clear overflow and it bugs me seeing the pipes through the front of my tank, so does anybody know if there is something black and reefsafe that I could cut to size and put in the overflow to hide the PVC? I would move my rocks in front of it but I really like my new aquascape and don't want to mess with rearranging anymore...

I got some 1/4" hdpe. It is just barely boyant, It would have to be friction fit to hold it in place.

its the plastic used for most food grade packaging that's flexible and not clear. Plastic barrels, some storage totes, garbage cans. good stuff... but never clear.

let me measure how much I would need. How much would you charge for it?

ive got enough around, a 4x4 sheet and a some scraps. The stuff is flexible and easy to cut you can slowly heat it will a torch and bend it if necessary. You will want to have just enough bigger to make it flex into and friction fit the existing box. Cant glue this stuff like pvc and acrylics.

You have a table saw that you can shave it down? I'd cut it large if you do.

Wow thanks! Sometime early next week (Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday) I will send you a message and let you know if I can stop by and grab some from you. I do not have a table saw but can probably give it to one of my buddies who probably does and have him do it. When I get back tonight I will measure it and shoot you a message also.

I've used "krylon" black spray paint for plastics to the ends of the oceans in my system with no problems, it holds on PVC fantastic and looks amazing! I sprayed mostly all my PVC, in and outside. The paint has been submerged in my sump for 3 months with no problems. Here's photos: [IMG]
