I don't know if it is crazy expensive.. 450 for the device.. That is almost what a good skimmer costs.. I think chaeto reactors or well built algae scrubbers like Turbo's are well worth the money.. Heck frags these days are going for more than that.

Yeah this is the N12.. Although it says N18 on it.. The LED light inside the tube has a heat pipe on it.. Pretty cool.. Love the looks of it.. The fact it grows chaeto is a bonus
