Bristleworm sting

    So this happened a week ago (Saturday)

    Soaked my hand in vinegar for a while, thought it was all good.

    Today it looks like this:

    Should I be worried?

    I wouldn't worry about it unless you're hand swels and turns colors but than again I'm not a dr lol

    Elmers glue. Glob it on, wait 30 minutes, peel off. Rubber cement would probably work too, faster set time.

    I'll remember that. I think I read @Dave@Dave conment somewhere that vinegar dissolves the bristles. Which it does. But it left them under the skin.

    Sorry Dave if that wasn't you. Not throwing you under the bus!

    Nope, wasn't me although I've heard of vinegar before but I have never tried it. My tools of choice are glue (as mentioned above) or duct tape which worked surprisingly well to get the majority of these out from when I had a run in with a big one as I was moving a coral in the tank.

    Soak it Bud in warm Johnson's foot powder. After skin is well hydrated, pat dry and use peroxide. After that, I use antibiotic and bandaide overnight. Hope it helps you. I always blister from them but I'm old and fragile! :roflmao:

    S#*t happens Bud.:eek: Noone ever says how bad old age can be:0( My last visit for my back took 8 shots in it! No fun:( It could worse though!o_O Just have to suck it up and keep moving forward!!:D

    I did for a bit but the spot it's on is hard to keep a bandaid in place so I have just let it run it's course. It's getting better, skin is getting calloused now that's all.
