Help!! aqua lifter

    My aqua lifter is making a weird, annoying, and loud noise!!!

    I use an aqua lifter for my top off pump. It draws from a 5 gallon bucket of DI water. The only time mine makes noticeable noise is when the bucket is empty.

    The diaphragm inside the aqua lifter is replaceable. I would suggest taking it apart to check the diaphragm is still connected properly and not damaged.

    What are you running through it? Just RO water?

    I know sometimes mine will get plugged up with crap, never noticed a noise but it will not pump right. Take it off and run vinegar through it and clean it out and it's usually better.
    Otherwise as mentioned the diaphragms are replaceable and cheap. Nice to have another set of those, and I usually have a whole new pump on hand just in case.

    Always use the pre-filter, I've had these pumps last a long time but I'm just running RODI with Alk added
