Need opinions, I have never had aptasia but have seen many post on these pest. I have heard that if you use aptasia x or the juice that once you hit them they spread eggs before dying thus spreading more. My situation is that I have three visible aptasia that came from who knows where I have added no corals/rock for months now. How would YOU deal with the very small infestation

I take the rock out if possible and do the kalkpast trick, if it out of the tank it can't spread.

I'm a huge fan of the peppermint shrimp. You see 3 now but I'll wager there's more to come. When aptaisia are under control the peppermint will be a valuable part of your clean up crew.

If they are all on the same rock in the same area I would see if I could get the rock out and bust the section off they are growing on. The problem is, if you have a few on one rock they might have already spread. A few peppermint shrimp might be a good choice as well.

aiptasia x works great for me,the key is to get them to have a feeding response. i slowly add a little until they start to move their tentacles around the small amount i am injecting, then i slowly add more until the entire base is covered.

I had great success with Aptasia X.  Just make sure to turn ur pumps off first.  Then make sure you get the tip of the needle down by the mouth and slowly cover the entire mouth and surrounding area as well.  I had a fairly large outbreak awhile back.   I also added two peppermints just to mak sure that they were gone and I haven't seen any of those damn things in my tank seen then.   Aptasia X is designed to basically glue the mouth shut so when you do kill it it doesn't release the spores and spread more of them all over your tank.

If you can get the rock out I like to inject them with vinager it totaly nukes them in a matter of seconds. Then I take a tooth pick and pop them right off the rock.
