Getting ready to build up my 75 gallon tank and need to build/buy a refugium. Is anyone good at building them or have a good place to buy one?

Most people just use the middle section of their sump.

It really depends on what you're wanting to do. How fancy do you want to get and stuff like that.

I just siliconed baffling in my sump for a refugium, skimmer section, and return section.

I did the skimmer/fuge/return also. I found a glass kit on amazon that was made for the same size tank I have and just wrote down the dimensions and cut my own. Very cheap and easy.

I did the same, made a design that worked with my tank and equipment and left room for some expansion. I picked up a used scratched cheap glass aquarium. Called sassman glass had baffles cut that I silicone in. For the sock holder, I just picked up a double 7inch hold for my sock section.

So I built this sump with three chambers, I love it and wouldn't do it any other way! It's dead silent, efficient, and flexible. The first chamber has a removable acrylic filter sock tub that holds 5 socks and the drain baffle pipes (I designed, fabricated, assembled it myself in my garage). The last chamber has a nice glass shelf that puts my skimmer at just the right height.

It's been at least 6 months since I got it going and I couldn't be more happy!

I just picked the biggest aquarium I could fit in my stand and kept the center part as big as possible so that I can do a refugium if I ever want to.

This photo is from when it was brand new, I'll post new, recent photos tomorrow.
