Is there anywhere in our area that sells clear 6" dia tubes?  I really only need 24".  I can only find places on-line that sell it in 6ft lengths for $120.

He wants $45 a foot. I can get 6ft on-line from US plastics for $80 shipped. Anyone else need some clear tube for a skimmer project?

$80 for 6ft, I bet that its extruded not cast. If its cast then you better by it by the truck load!!!

Yes, it's extruded tubing. How clear the tubing is doesn't really matter to me. I think I'm just going to get a 6" PVC pipe, dremel out a large rectangular window, and silicone in a window with some 1/8" acrylic. That makes it a $10 project instead of an $80 one /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/tongue.gif I ordered a Sedra 5000 a few days ago so I'm hoping it shows up soon so I can get working on this project.

I made a sedra5000 based skimmer, but I used 6" PVC instead and cut a 14x3" window in the tube and siliconed in some acrylic. I'll post some pics of it in action tonight. Same specs as the G4, but for $150 /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/tongue.gif
