I am looking for a 5 gallon water jug. You know... the kind that is used on dispensers. People have made DIY skimmers out of them too... I want it for a skimmer collection reservoir. WalMart has them but they are $20. Is there a cheaper option or am I stuck with dropping a 20 on the thing. I was thinking about going with a super inexpensive Home Depot bucket, but I like the idea of seeing how full it is. For those wondering, I am going a wet skim route, so my skimmate fills up a little faster than what might be considered "normal", which is why I wanted a larger reservoir.

I made an 8 gallon DIY recirculating skimmer out of those once.  Worked pretty good.
I bought the jugs at a Culligan dealer.  Came with the water for much cheaper than $20 and they were the true "round" ones that didn't have the built in handle.
