I'm starting to build my 120g erects other will go in my room. The tank will be ordered tomorrow fro aquatic environments. Decided to go with a 120 instead of a 150. I have started building my own stand and it will be 5th long, 2.5ft wide and 2.5ft tall. I'll post pics later and keep posting as the build goes on.

do you know what protein skimmer you are going to use?
you diffidently want to leave enough room for the skimmer to be accessed.
    Good luck : )

Great to see that you notched the boards. The weight will be on the vertical boards instead of the screws. Looking good so far!

reinforced it a little more, so it doesn't ****ft back and forth, and cut the inside boards to size. the boards are painted with bathroom paint and will get covered with the roll of plastic in the picture, this should keep water off of the wood.  i also ordered my 120g tank today and Joe said it should be in next wednesday or the following wednesday.

should be done with the stand tmrw.  got everything painted, installed the plastic onto the wood boards, siliconed the edges to keep water from going inbetween boards, and started to put the oak trim on.  will finish cutting the oak tmrw and then will varnish it.  should have it in place tmrw night.

that is the front...a hole will be drilled in the side for the cords and will drill holes in top for plumbing. the 40g breeder is what my refugium will be...it will still slide in there even with that board. the size of the stand is 5ft long by 2.5ft wide and 2.5ft tall.  that tank is only 4ft by 2ft

If you are planning on having a lighted fuge in the cabinet you will either want to open the back up more or get fans. The light in there will get very hot.
