Just seeing about this. Anybody here using this been affected? A lot of chatter about a lot of sediment but some are saying it corresponds to different outbreaks, ca, alk and mg levels going wacky or even some large coral loss.

I use pro reef salt but I didn’t notice anything out of wack.

Lots of back and forth on FB about this, with some big names weighing in on it...sounds like a batch from Turkey with the metal handles (I think) that seems to be the culprit. TM had all but denied everything in the face of some really solid proof from reputable people, but I thought I saw some kind of acknowledgment by them about it eventually.

They have shut the Turkish facility down and recalling these containers/batches. The containers from Germany are considered safe. BRS has a video and a few posts on their FB page about this recently. If bought from BRS, they will refund money and you do not have to ship salt back.

I hadn't kept up on this, and hadn't heard about the recall - good

Yeah I saw a lot of discussion on reef2reef with a rep from TM weighing in, and he had some good info (wasn't denying, and was asking for input). :) I use TM classic, not pro reef, but it was interesting. I love the classic - mixes great and super clean.
