On the early morning of July 22, 2017, a masked woman entered V W Tropical Fish and filled approximately fifty large bags of water with hundreds of farmed ornamental tropical fish.

The available video evidence suggests this was either an inside job or someone who was very familiar with V W's facilities. A cash reward is now being offered for information leading to an arrest. If you have witnessed any usual activity in your tropical fish community (e.g. someone trying to unload a lot of Malawi cichlids, angelfish, and/or kois), please contact Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS.
