How do they do with pom pom crabs, or cleaner shrimp?

I wouldn’t worry about already established shrimp, Flame hawks have pretty small mouths they would probably eat sexy shrimp but I wouldn’t worry about cleaner shrimp.

Good to know, I always thought they were cool but did not want to lose one of my invertebrates to them.

First I get the fish eating for about a week while frequently observing them, then I slowly bring coppersafe up to 2 ppm over the course of 3-5 days depending on the fish. They will stay at full therapeutic copper for 14 days, then transferred to a sterile qt to be treat with 2 rounds of prazipro and observed for another 2 weeks min.

Is there a reason you like Coppersafe? Do you like it better than other products like Cupramine?

I have found that more fish seem to tolerate coppersafe better than cupramine. And the api copper test kit is easier to find

Good to know. I tried Cupramine at a reduced rate with a wrasse and it did not make it even though at the first sign of distress I added charcoal and did water change. I am thinking only tank transfer method for wrasse for me from now on but I have been hesitant about using Cupramine ever since. I know it is a good product but when you lose a favorite fish it makes you leery.

Yes wrasses are very sensitive to any type of meds, I just take it really slow and watch for any signs that something is going south. I have never had any luck with cupramine. TTM is a good option for wrasses, I am just affraid they will still have velvet.
