Looking to knock out the main structure of my 210 stand tomorrow but unsure on how high to go. I'm going to run a 75 sump so the more space the better but I don't want to go overboard. Being that this tank is nearly 30" tall does everyone think a 40" high stand would be too much?

    Thanks!

40 is right on target in my opinion . That is where my current one is and my stand for my 220 is right about the same. It think a 75 gallon tank is 21 inches tall so that leaves you probably only 15 inches to work with above the sump depending on how you frame it.

I like the 36-40 inch range. Good height to work under. And not too tall to get in tank to work

I have my 220 on a metal stand and it's 44" tall the best part is you dint have to bend over to look in it it is right their. The bad part is you need a gopher to move something on the bottom or a ladder to work in the tank. I highly recommend a tall stand just easy to work under.

Not bad for a few hours work. Little plywood action and paint needed for now.

Looks like a textbook stand from the RC RocketEngineer thread, that'll do!
