We can look at adding one to our calendar for next year and budgeting the cost to rent a screen!

Ok, I am a home theater nut. I have to know what projector, speakers, etc are used. I've always wanted to do an outdoor movie, but hauling all of my gear out of the theater room outside seems like a lot of work. Still cool though.

 

Nick, the club owns 2 jbl 515 powered pa speakers and a Ben q sh910 projector.
After we had movie night last year I ended up buying my own projector and pa system. The screen we use is 9 x 16 and is made from trapeze fabric.
We watch movies on it nearly every weekend during the summer. I even have a .5 watt fm transmitter for those that want to listen in their cars for the drive in experience. Next year I plan on upgrading the sound system to a 5.1 system.

So where outside do you set this up that people can watch from their cars? I've seen backyard setups, but those include lawn chair space, not car parking spots. LOL...
220" diagonal is pretty impressive.
I've got a JVC RS45 (top rated non-3d projector from last year) and a 138" screen (plus a 7.2 surround sound system) in my theater inside my house. Works great.
This is a perfect time of year for outdoor movies. They days are warm/hot, and the evenings are a great temperature for sitting outside.
