Today marks my 1 year in saltwater, so I thought I would do a thread on my next build.

    90 Gallon starfire SPS tank.

    Equipment plans:

Tank: SC Aquariums 90 gallon starfire cube with custom built walnut and light maple stand.
Lighting: ATI Powermodule 36" 6 bulb with a Reefbrite 36" XHO Blue
    Skimmer: Vertex Omega 150
    Sump: Trigger Tideline 30
    Return: Ecotech Vectra M1
    Ato: Tunze Osomolator
    Zeovit: Vertex 1.5L ZEOlight Reactor
Rock: Prime dry Pukani rock I have laying around.
Sand: Heavy carib-sea sand. Haven't decided on color yet.
Flow: Going to try 1 Gyre FX150
    Calcium Reactor: Vertex RX-C 6D
    Controller: APEX with auto feeder

Stand will be open with white and red plumbing to match the vertex equipment.

Thanks the only thing I'm wondering about is flow. Never tried a gyre before.

Lol I'm looking to do nice quality pieces. Including a WD tenuis once the Tank is ready for sps.

Will do. I'm waiting on the stand to get done now then have to get the last few pieces of equipment. Should be up and running within a month.

I have a gyre 150 on my cube. It certainly moves the water around. I'm only running mine on pulse at 50% since I have mostly LPS corals in the tank. I think you'll get the movement you want but unsure on if you'd want to add something on the other side for a more varied flow rate. If you're ever in DSM I can show you.

How big is your cube? Yeah I'll try it for the time being and if i need more flow Ill probably just go to Mp-40s again. I run Vortechs on my other tanks and have been really happy with them.

    Waiting on:

Foam to go underneath the tank

A grommet to come for the hole i need to drill in the back wall. running all the wires out there. Trying to keep it as clean as I can.

Need to have my small cabinet built to mount on the wall to house all of my electrical.

Need wood piece to screw into the ceiling to hand my ATI off of.

And I'm sure other things that will come up haha.

Nothing in this hobby is fast, so I've gotten used to being patient.
