Hello, everyone!
The annual GIRS business meeting was this past weekend. I wasn't able to make it, but it sounds like it was a good meeting. The main theme of the discussions were around club activity and providing a value to members.
On that note, I'd like to try to re-energize the Waterloo/CF region. I thought a good first step would be to set up a time to get the group together for some brainstorming, snacks, drinks, reef talk, etc. I'm willing to host at my house just so we have something reef related to look at and also so you guys can give me some pointers!
Sunday afternoons were pretty popular in the past so I'd say we try to stick with that, at least for our first one. I'd like to throw out February 24th for our kickoff event. Let me know if you are or aren't able to make it and if not many people can make it on that date we may need to adjust.
