My red planet and strawberry shortcake are growing strangely. The strawberry shortcake continues to encrust, but does not grow upward. Plus it has these very spindly fingers that are growing horizontally or downward. Red planet is doing the same thing. In the pic with the strawberry shortcake, my pink lemonade next to it is doing just fine. Any thoughts on what could be causing this.

I'm by no means an expert, but I am curious as to what you have for lighting and if you know what par you are running around?

I wouldnt worry about them at this point.
Many sps will encrust and encrust and outwards before growing upwards. I think that is what you are seeing. They are growing so you know that your params, light, and flow are adequate. Imo, you are on track. Stay the course. The mother colony could have displayed the same growth pattern.
If at a later time, the growth pattern is not to your liking, then you can prune to have its growth pattern toward more of your liking Imo, you have nothing to be concerned about with either coral

They look great to me! Just tabling out, I would suspect you have them in a fairly high flow?

I'm asking more because you appear to be having success and am curious what you are running! :)

The red planet is low in the tank - and not a high flow area. But I had it in another location a few months ago. I'm not sure if it was high flow. But I also have a green planet that is in a high flow area and its doing the same thing.

The strawberry shortcake is so close to the pink lemonade though, that I wouldn't think there would be a huge difference in flow, and the pink lemonade is not doing that.

As for tabling, what I thought strange is that the tiny fingers are actually pointing downward. ????

I'm running the Aquatic Life hybrid - 4 Blue+ T5 bulbs, and 2 Kessil 360s. A couple months ago, after I took PAR readings, I mapped them on a photo of my tank.

I don't think it is strange for the tiny fingers pointing down on a young table. As long as its growing and color is good, i'd leave it.
It jas a long way to go before you could really identify a problem for growth pattern.
