    So i swapped everything over to my 29g biocube and was wondering if i can rinse my sand really good thats in the 55 and save it? I spent like $50 on it and dont wanna trash it. Im not sure how long till i get it back up and running... any input?

    any sand pretty much will become live sand again wtih time and even faster if you already have live sand and rock to add to it, i save all my sand if i can

    I guess i didnt really think that through. Lol even petco sells bags of dirty sand. Haha. So rinse it good and put it in a 5 gal bucket? I just sont want it to stink up my basement.

    yeah if the bucket is sealed like an old reef crystals bucket i dont think it would stink if it was dry but if you put it in wet then it would im thinking

    So let it dry and I actually have a reef cystals bucket

    Yes wash it best you can & let it dry real good, store away.

    I have a 5 gallon bucket of sand in my fish room. It is still moist not wet and I cant smell if over my skimmer lol
