You may want to think twice!

Internet company try's to pull a fast one over on a hobbyist that backfired.  Internet company MarineGardens.com boosts a Live arrival guarantee, however, when Matt Wandell bought an expensive goby (price tag at $130) and it arrived DOA, the company replied that they would not honor the agreement based on the price and stated that it was clearly posted.  Now most of you are saying so, if it was clearly posted it should be buyer-b-ware.  However, unfortunately for Marine Gardens Mike Wandell is no computer slouch and did a little detective work of his own.  After doing a little research he found the original Google cache (temporary location for storage of served pages) which clearly identified that the page had been altered after the DOA guarantee had been applied for.

To make matters worse after Mike posted on Reef Central to aid other hobbyists so they didn't get burned.  The owner of Marine Gardens came on the thread posing as someone else (or at least on divulging who he was) flaming Mike for warning the other hobbyist that frequent that site. He continued to argue and degrade Mike until the Mods stepped in and warned the owner of Marine Gardens to stop.

This kind of poor business practice should not be tolerated anywhere, but especially not in this hobby where we pay so much for our critters and all we ask for is what we pay for.  I encourage all members of the GIRS site to view the Reef Central thread for themselves.

Then directly after that to contact Marine Gardens and tell them they will not receive your business.  Let's do the hobby a favor and run this place out of business, so they can not perform this kind of deceptive practice again.

Wow...here's their correct URL http://www.marinesgardens.com. I hope they learn their lesson. It's a big price to pay for not standing behind a $120 fish.

Haha, I think they're screwed. The owner or someone working there came into the thread and called the complainer a whiney liar and made an ass out of himself.
