Good tips. Thanks!
I also have my heaters and return pump on a battery backup which I luckily have not had to test. I bought the largest I could find, and it claims to run a computer and monitor for 6 hours. I would hope it can at least run 2 heaters and a pump for a couple hours if needed.

I was at a meeting that added a few details to what has already been said.

The two most important things when power goes out are oxygen and temperature.

If you are home when the power goes out. Put blankets over your system to keep as much heat as possible.

If you are going to put a battery operated air pump, make sure the line isn't too close to your sand or you could disturb the nitrates in the sand and make conditions worse. Also, you could use a battery operated drill with a paint stirrer time to time to oxygenate the water.

If you have an AC controller, make sure everything is still timed correctly. Tanks have crashed when a function was left on for dosing when power was returned on.
