I have been a customer of the Iowa city petland for many years. And have bought many corals and fish of all kinds from them and I can honestly say I have never bought a unhealthy specimen. I only have one complaint there are alot of employes working there at any given time but it seems that there are never enough people in the fish area and it takes a while to get service. Other than that I love the iowa city petland.

I was recently in the Iowa City Petland and I was greeted and asked if I needed anything by two of the employees. They did have a lot of employees working at the time. Obviously this is a good thing for customers needing assistance. I know of other local pet stores where you can't hardly find an employee to help you out, much less an employee helping another customer. I'm fine to wait a few minutes if the employee is helping another customer and not just sitting around doing nothing.

Hey! Thank you for the comments. Wendy and I have owned the store for 4 years now. The first thing I did when we took over the store was to walk back to the fish department and ask to be trained on salt water. Four years later and we have upgraded again at home (bigger tank Itis) and are having a blast. Let us know if you need anything.

Hello everyone! I am very excited to start getting the sponsorship here on GIRS going. As of now, we are busy taking pictures and planning how we are going to post things. Any ideas or feedback you have would be amazing. Also, start thinking of what awesome coupons you would like to see as exclusive for GIRS members! I have a few ideas but the more suggestions the better!

our local petland in omaha gives club members a 20% discount. have any discounts been offered? that has been a huge bonus for us!

We've really had some choice product over the years. Adam, Elliot and Kylie have really kept things going. I'm glad we're finally sponsoring GIRS.
