Some of you may have noticed some weird stuff with the website over the last 36 hours or so.  There were some intermittent issues that have since been resolved.  If you sent someone a PM during that time, you may want to re-send it to make sure they got it.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Also, please extend your thanks to Josh Heinen (waterfowler) for serving as Trustee.  Your service has been appreciated and you will be missed.

Also, in the coming weeks, you'll be hearing more about an Assistant Trustee position that we're adding.  It's a position that's geared toward those interested in becoming a Trustee in the future.  More details to come!

Save the Date - Feb 4th, 2012 - GIRS Business Meeting
By apjohnson @ 9:28 AM :: 139 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: GIRS News, GIRS Events, Des Moines Area, Waterloo/Cedar Falls Area, Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Area, Quad Cities Area

We've scheduled the annual GIRS Business Meeting for Saturday, February 4th at the Coralville Country Inns and Suites.  It's just off of I-80, near Coralridge Mall.  Time is yet to be determined.

Like last year, we have some great raffle prizes for this event.  It will be worth attending even if the raffle is the only motivation for going.  Pizza and beverages will also be provided.

This years meeting will be packed and may go longer than those in the past due to the amount of material to cover.  Modifications to the club Constitution and By-Laws will be discussed and voted on.  Standard things like Member of the Year award, review of the club finances, overview of MACNA, and a recap of the year will also be done.  We'll also have a brand new group of officers to introduce, new trustees to introduce and more.

Mark the date on your calendars and we'll see you there!
