Finally got everything finished up I hope. Looking to add another 20 to 30 pounds rock sometime to fill in just a tad more. BUT I like it for now. 120 gallon dual overflows dual returns. Running an external mag 18 for return. Pretty impressed at how quiet the whole system is. Also running a wp25 and am beyond impressed with it. Will be ordering another for the other side and it should be perfect. I am blown away by the "cheap" skimmer that I bought. SC 180 gallon. Is pulling some of the nastiest stuff out and it's very quiet. I've heard nothing but good reviews on these skimmers and I see why. I'm too cheap to buy the same product with a better name /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif. All brand new ATI bulbs (6) made a huge difference too...Any comments or questions??

SC was great on my 75. Don't load the tank up with many fish. It will not keep up for its rated for a 180 so you are pushing that now. This is over time of course. Great skimmer for price.

Cool system! Love the pic of the tank and stand.

I bought an SC skimmer for my breeder and it's been great so far. Ditto on the nasty sludge. I about took a picture of it this morning because it was crazy.

Thanks. Yea I keep it pretty low on fish stocking. Just have to see how it goes I guess. If I have to change it up later I will. Eventually I will go leds on the tank but it'll be a bit. I really like these t5ho's but it would be sweet to never have to change any bulbs. My corals seem to be doing really good. My frogspawn split heads and I noticed this morning that there are 3 heads starting to grow on the base! and my duncan started with one small head a few months ago and now it's huge and probably 12 heads on it

  9. The system looks great and good job building the stand! I am happy to hear that you are impressed with the WP25, I just placed and order for one on Monday and it should arrive middle of next week. I already have 1 MP10 so I am excited to compare the two!

Been a real long time since I've added a pic. Tanks matured a lot. By the way just downloaded Tapatalk. Works flawless. Upgraded to LEDs. Corals have grown a lot since the old pics.

Are your lights on crooked? That's an interesting way to hang them. Either way it looks good...

Ya...when I was hanging them they both ended up perfectly at a 45 degree with each other. My wife said it looks better that way. My OCD wants to straighten them. Lol. It seems to make zero visual difference when I turn them. I have zero dark spots.

I'll see if I can get a pic today with all the lights turned up. They actually look kind of neat at an angle.

is that an egg crate on top? Does it keep the fish from jumping out?

No its a black mesh. I built them. They fit flush inside the rim of the tank. I heard egg crate will block a lot of light. If you YouTube diy aquarium screen top it will probly bring up some options.
