As it turns out, my wife has decided she REALLY likes the Naso Tang. So, I am hoping to surprise her sometime in the semi-near future with one for our large tank in the basement. What better way to "trick" her into getting really interested in the saltwater hobby then to get her the fish she really likes. I am also hoping to find one that is not too expensive. I would prefer to surprise her with Naso Tang only and not a blown budget as well. lol. If you have a one or know where to get an inexpensive one, please let me know. I would also be willing to trade corals or something for the fish as well if you would prefer.

    Thanks!
    Pete

P.S. I am in the Des Moines area.

$30 for a naso that's a super price must be small ones. They are a great fish for larger aquariums, the most peaceful of any tangs. I’ve got a large male Blonde naso in my 350 I got from AC&C last year. FYI the females do not get the long streamers on their tales and are not as colorful as the males.

Glad that guy made it to a nice big home. He was tempting me for so long while he was at AC&C, I just couldn't justify that kind of money.
I ended up getting a smaller one from there a couple months ago. Hopefully one day he will look as good as yours.

Thanks! He may be the king of the tank but he doesn't show his strength other stealing all the food as fast as he can catch it. He'll eat the algae sheets right out of your hand.

Cool. Thanks for sharing! So, any way of knowing if you have a male or female when they are young?

Often times when we get the regular ones they are very plain, almost ugly. The blondes are almost always beautifu.

I think the Blondes are a much better looking fish as well.
