Hey guys, the BOD as decided to offer an Equipment Loan program. Each region will be getting it's own equipment which would be free to borrow to paying GIRS members.
A couple of the regions are getting PAR meters, being Craig is generous enough to let practically anyone borrow his we could get something else instead. A few options would be a mojano wand, or a Hanna PO4 meter.
Personally, I think if you own a reef tank a PO4 meter is a piece of equipment you should already own as it is the only real way to detect PO4 levels effectively. Besides, mine is usually at the shop and getting your water checked out is usually free.
A Mojano wand would be cool, but I'm almost 100% sure that after I see one, it would be very easy to just build one.
So I guess I am looking for more input and help on deciding what we would like to get for our region.
Let's hear some ideas!

+1 on Glaspie. This would really come in handy when transporting frags and other items to and from places. Also....when there is an emergency it could save costly time!!!! |

Great idea on the hospital or qt system. I bet something like that would get used fairly often. |

I was thinking with the hosp tank we could include the copper & the test kits. The kits are expensive to buy for one or two uses. |
