Hey all. I live in cedar rapids and wonder if there are any hidden pet stores in the area that i dont know about. I do 99.9% of my business at pets playhouse. Ive been to sea of marvels and will soon be hitting coralville bay but, anything in cr, marion, hiawatha? Thanks all!
Ps. I know about PETCO and petsmart. Lol
Thanks!!!

Well there is Petland in Iowa city, but I encourage you to never go inside that place ever, their fish Dept sucks terribly and the owner of the place is a slimy piece of shit (believe me I worked there for 7 years. Elliot (erayk1) is the only decent guy they have left and he only has time to work one day a week. |

last time I went there they had 6 dart frogs of three different species all housed together. when I asked the "expert" some basic husbandry questions you could tell he had no idea what he was saying. the stress of them being housd together could have killed them. let alone the lack of knowledge about their care. |

AC&C is only about an hour away and IMO worth the drive. I have friends that live right around the corner from there so I use that as an excuse when I feel like going that way LOL. |

He has prices on a lot of tanks and all of his new items in the store. I don't think his prices are set in stone ether like most stores. Not having a price on somethings forces a person going in there to get to know him and he them by asking him the price or a question then the price. How many LFS can you go to local and always talk to the owner and receive service from the owner? I can only think of one place "SEA OF MARVEL." |

Maybe a simple price indicator would help.....like marking tanks with a dollar sign scale to give a general idea for those just wanting to soak it in. I know I'm one of those guys that like to wander and not bother the help sometimes. $ 2-6 $$ 7-12 $$$13-20 ...etc |

Maybe...
I get what is being said. I think he just like to talk with people, But don't not go to his store, because he don't have prices on all his tanks. He has some very good stuff and prices.
