Dougs feet and ankles received 3rd degree burns after hudreds of gals of boilig water spilled out of a giant water res. He is today going through with first skin graph at Iowa City burn unit. Please if u know Doug or if you don't let him know we are all here for him! He has been through a lot! He is in middle of filling his 220 for the second time and will not be able to finish for a long time now, workers comp. hardly pays the bills! Doug would never ask for a hand out but, anything even a good word helps!!! Thanks!

Wishing Big-D the best. I have been to his house once since the accident to help him with his new tank. The tank looks good and told him to call me if he needs anything else. Good guy, hope the recovery goes smooth and quick. Good luck Doug. Call if you need anything.

Yeah I talked to him last weekend right after this happened. It sounded real scary. I talked to him Tuesday and he sounded like he was in a lot of pain and getting prepped for the grafts. I cannot imagine the pain.

I will volunteer to start a collection fund. I'm thinking just paypal would be easiest, I suppose I can use my personal account as long as everyone trusts me to deliver it to him. If anyone wants to contribute a few bucks PM me and I'll give you my paypal e-mail address, unless someone has a better idea.

Sorry to hear about your accident Doug. Yes, morphine is good stuff. Stay ahead of the pain (take as rx'd) as it will really help. Keep the wounds clean! Stay strong as your journey through this will be long. My thoughts and prayers are with you!!
