Ok so after creating and taking care of two tanks at once, I have now decided to combine the two into one larger reef system. I’m also looking to work with some more elaborate tank designs and my third line of DIY sumps.

    Planned/Current Equipment
    Tank:
75 or 90 RR Tank with 3-5 holes drilled for closed loop (CL) system
Bare bottom system (tired of dealing with sand)
DIY Stand and Canopy (Designs to come)
    Circulation:
SQWD 1" kit for CL system
Gen-x pcx 40 (maybe 70) for the CL system
          1-2 power heads (koralia maybe)
    Lighting:
          1x175 watt halide
Blue line bulb (10 or 14k)
             Hamilton tech magnetic ballast
          6xT5 Bulbs
24-36" depending on how they can be positioned
                3xGiesman actinic+
                2xUVL supper actinic
                1xATI Pro color
             Sunlight Supply Ballasts.
    Filtration:
          30 Gal Long DIY Sump
          Mag 9.5 Return Pump
Miracle Mud (MM) Refugium with Caulerpa
Reef Octopus Extreme 160 Skimmer with Secci pump
          Isolated Deep Sand Bed
    Misc:
          4xQuick Disconnect Ball Valves
          Misc Piping and Fittings
          Tsunami ATO system
          Misc electronics (heater/timers/temp gauge)

Next up my basic designs for all of you to ponder and dissect.

hey, when ur done, i'll buy the whole load for $200...sound like a deal? looks cool man. Question, is 1 MH enough for that long of a tank? (Beginner question, since I am one).

Im using 1 MH to only illuminate half the tank, im planning a half ricordia/zoa half sps, well see how well it works. I dont want the mh over the zoa and ricordia due to its, ill effects on them.

So heres my semi final sump designs, been on paper for a bit, just put it in paint.

Everything sounds awesome but a couple question. Are you having the tank special made? If not, how do you plan on dealing with the center brace? Everything else sounds great. Definately following this build.

Cool. Are you off setting the halide? Cause it will cause it to fry that center brace.

Yes I plan on having the halide over just half the tank atm.

Big update, due to a sale on tanks this may turn into a 120 gal build rather than a 90.

    Will keep updated.
