So I know who's door I can go knock on in about 6 months to ask for a frag   I got:

  • blueberry muffin cap-gorgeous, thanks Sissy!
  • orange snails, also from Sissy, very cool
  • the orange & white sponge from Sissy, very cool, but not sure how it's supposed to attach to something? (anybody know?)
  • Grover Blue palys, Miesen, very blue :)
  • blue chalice w/ pink mouths, from Meisen, awesome coloration
  • pink pocillapora, looks like cotton candy :)
  • green and red Aussie acans form 2 people, very nice color and reasonable
  • Tubb's Blues from Sone, already open and looking gorgeous
  • Devi's Armor zoas, amazing pink, also from Sone and Jeff, beautiful!
I think that's it Just enough money leftover to stop at McDonald's on the way home, lol

Are you talking about the Spider Sponge by chance? I was told to use the tooth pick method or wedge it in some rocks. Mine has opened up and can barely see any orange just a lot of white. Pretty cool!

Either method will work for the sponge, I would keep them in lower light to help prevent algae from building on the tissue, moderate.higer random flow to help the sponge feed/ clean itself...this sponge is basically a red/orange so anything listed about them for care can be taken into consideration. The white zoanthid colony will feed on larger sized food compaired to the sponge. I had good luck with with Fauna Marins Ultra line...s/f/clam.. Good luck !!!!

Thanks and nice job to everyone involved with putting the event on.  It's very hard to believe that it's the first one since it seemed like things went so smooth and everyone seemed to have such a great time.  I know I really enjoyed myself and got some great deals.

I didn't get any of that spider sponge and wish that I would have....it looked really cool, but I didn't realize what it was until it was too late.  I should have asked...

I got about 5 or 6 new kinds of zoas, some palys, a rose bulb-tip anemone, frogspawn, star polyp and a piece of aussie dendrophyllia.  I'm looking forward to working all that into my tank.

I agree with AJ said both about the fest and the spider sponge. I won some oyster egg reef nutrition food and the coral seem to love it especial my sun corals.  Thanks everyone for a great fest. I look forward to future events and learning from everyone. Glad I was able to participate in the event and join the club. Hope I can add some value in the future. I am still pretty new to this but also pretty addicted to the hobby.

Ok a few pictures, but they're not the best.... the acans are unhappy from being moved and the blueberry cap is really prettier in real life than the picture.  A few things were just too hard to get a picture of.

That spider sponge and tubs blues are a both awesome.
I've seen frogfish that look similar, they must be from the same place in the ocean that sponge is

Warner Marine. They launched a line of cone skimmers that look really impressive from a build quality standpoint. From the pictures I have seen of them in action, they work extremely well.

Here's most of what I got on Saturday.  Excuse the pics, I didn't spend much time or thought into taking them.

RBTA: About 6"-8" when open.

Aussie elegance: In a high flow area right now.

Clove polyps, ORA red planet table acro and aussie acan.  There's still one more acan that I don't have a picture of.
